Wine Critics Notes:

Allen Meadows - Score: 91 (2003 October)

Classic Vaillons in style with its robust, open, intense nose of earth and chalk followed by intense, masculine, almost heady flavors and plenty of supporting acidity and length. The concentration here is impressive and this may very well be the densest wine among these 2001s. This finishes with obvious minerality and a touch of warmth. A terrific effort.
